OCTAVE LINET (Bléré 1870 – 1962 Paris)

Post-Impressionist artist Octave Linet belongs to the circle of Pissarro. In 1888 he exhibited at the Salon National des Beaux-Arts. In addition, he is a founding member of the Salon d'Automne and takes part in the exhibitions of the Independents.

We owe him Landscapes from the Touraine, Creuse, Normandy or the French Riviera. In and around Paris, he has mainly painted Seine and Oise rivers. He remained throughout his life a close friend of Suzanne Valadon, Utrillo, Max Jacob and Dufy.
